WhatPub is CAMRA’s national online pub guide.  It can be used to search for pubs across the UK and then look up opening times, descriptions, facilities and details of the real ale and cider on offer.

CAMRA members can also use WhatPub to score the quality of a pub’s beer and submit these online.  The scores are then used to help decide whether the pub will appear in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide publication.

We aim to regularly update the entries for each of the pubs and clubs in our branch area so they all have up-to-date information, descriptions and photos.  There are over 100 entries to maintain so this is quite a task and we rely on CAMRA members to help.

How can you help?

Firstly, if you are a CAMRA member, please use WhatPub to review a pub’s WhatPub entry and score the quality of their beer.  The easiest way to do this is to use your mobile’s web browser and visit www.WhatPub.com. 

 

Minor amendments to pub details can be made online as well as submission of beer scores. (WhatPub is not an iPhone or android app but if you add a shortcut to your homepage linking to WhatPub it makes it easy to access every time you visit a pub!)

Local CAMRA members can help by adopting one or more pubs they often visit and by completing a pub survey and periodic reviews.  Pubs should be surveyed every 2 years (or on a change of owner/licensee etc) and simply involves speaking to the licensee and completing a questionnaire which can be downloaded from the link below.  Our branch Pubs Officer will then update WhatPub from the completed questionnaire.
