CAMRA Pubs and Clubs and BEER SCORING

WhatPub is no longer active and the site has been shut down.  You can now use CAMRAs own Pubs and Clubs site to find local venues.

CAMRA’s national online pub guide can be used to search for pubs across the UK and then look up opening times, descriptions, facilities and details of the real ale and cider on offer.  There are numerous search filters and more available for members after they log in.

CAMRA members can also use this site to score the quality of a pub’s beer and submit these online.  The scores are then used to help decide whether the pub will appear in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide publication.  Once logged in and a specific pub is selected the beer score tab will show.

We aim to regularly update the entries for each of the pubs and clubs in our branch area so they all have up-to-date information, descriptions and photos.  There are over 100 entries to maintain so this is quite a task and we rely on CAMRA members to help.

How can you help?

Firstly, if you are a CAMRA member, please use Pubs and Clubs to review a pub’s entry and score the quality of their beer.  The easiest way to do this is to use your mobile’s web browser.

Minor amendments to pub details can be made online as well as submission of beer scores.

Local CAMRA members can help by adopting one or more pubs they often visit and by completing a pub survey and periodic reviews.  Pubs should be surveyed every 2 years (or on a change of owner/licensee etc) and simply involves speaking to the licensee and completing a questionnaire which can be downloaded from the link below.  Our branch Pubs Officer will then update the site from the completed questionnaire.

Please contact our branch Pubs Officer at datacoordinator@ambervalley.camra.org.uk to adopt a pub or if you have any queries.
